What do Drug Test Cutoff Levels Mean?
Let’s say you ate a poppy seed muffin a few days ago. Now, you’re worried that opium might show up on a 12 panel drug screen. Should you really be worried? Are you going to fail that drug test?
No. That’s where drug test cutoff levels come in. A drug cut-off level is a level at which the amount of a detected substance reaches a point where it indicates danger. If the test results indicate an amount that is less than the indicated cut-off level, the test will yield a negative result.
So eating a poppy seed muffin won’t get you a false positive.
On the other hand, when a urine drug test results exceed the indicated cut-off level, it will result in a positive result. To find out all cutoff levels for 12 Panel Now’s Drug Tests, see: “Drug Test Cutoff Levels“.
