This product screens for Fentanyl using the cutoff levels listed in the drug chart. Use the final IFU/package insert for official collection timing, interpretation, and limitations.
How to Use FEN / Fentanyl Oral Swab Test
1. Collect Sample
Do not eat, drink, or smoke for 15 minutes before testing.
Open the sealed pouch and remove the oral swab test device. Remove the cap and place the absorbent tip horizontally in the mouth. Swab the inside of the mouth and tongue until the sample is collected.
2. Lay Flat
Remove the device from the mouth when the sample indicator has moved across the result window.
Replace the cap and place the test on a clean, flat surface horizontally.
3. Read Results
Read alcohol results at 2 minutes, if applicable.
Read drug results at 5 minutes.
Do not read alcohol results after 3 minutes or drug results after 10 minutes.
Reading Results of FEN / Fentanyl oral swab
1. Negative
Two lines appear: one at C and one at T.
Even a faint test line means a negative result.
2. Preliminary Positive
One line appears at C only.
No line at T means the drug level is at or above the cutoff.
3. Invalid
If the control line (C) does not appear, the result is invalid.
Repeat with a new test.
Alcohol Pad Results
1. Alcohol Negative
No color change.
2. Alcohol Positive
Reaction pad changes from light blue to dark blue.
3. Alcohol Invalid
Edges show slight color but most of the pad stays colorless.
Read results at 5 minutes. Do not read after 10 minutes.
