7 Panel Mouth Swab (Oral Fluid) – Buyer FAQ

Q:How accurate is this test?

A: The 7 Panel Oral Fluid Test provides over 97% accuracy when used correctly. As with all rapid tests, a positive result is preliminary and should be confirmed by a certified laboratory using GC/MS or LC/MS methods.

Q: How soon after use can drugs be detected in saliva?

A: Saliva tests are best at detecting recent drug use. Many substances can be detected within minutes to a few hours after ingestion, with a detection window of up to 24–48 hours, depending on the drug and usage patterns.

Q: How long do results take?

A: Results appear in 5–10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes, as they may no longer be reliable.

Q: How do you take a saliva swab drug test?

A: The swab is placed inside the mouth (usually under the tongue or along the cheek) until saturated with saliva, then inserted into the test device for results.

Q: How long before a saliva test should you avoid eating or drinking?

A: Most instructions recommend 30 minutes without food, drink, or smoking before collection.

Principle of Procedure

7 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test is a competitive immunoassay used to screen for the presence of drugs in oral fluid. It is a chromatographic absorbent device in which drugs or drug metabolites in a sample competitively bind to a limited number of antibody-dye conjugate binding sites.

  • When the absorbent tip is placed in the oral fluid sample, the sample is drawn in by capillary action, mixes with the antibody-dye conjugate, and flows across the pre-coated membrane.
  • If sample drug levels are zero or below the target cutoff, antibody-dye conjugate binds to the drug/protein conjugate immobilized in the Test (T) region, producing a colored test line. Any visible T line, regardless of intensity, indicates a negative result.
  • If sample drug levels are at or above the target cutoff, free drug in the sample binds to the antibody-dye conjugate and prevents it from binding at the T region. No T line develops, indicating a potentially positive result.
  • A colored line at the Control (C) region serves as a procedural control and should appear if the test has been performed properly.
  • Rapid saliva collection
  • Consistent rapid wicking
  • Greatly decreases ability to adulterate
  • Excellent for “reasonable suspicion” scenarios
(Plus applicability for forensic, employment & insurance.)

Supplied:

  • 1 × 7 panel saliva drug test (per kit)
  • 1 × Instructions for Use

Required but not provided:

  • Timer or stopwatch

Directions for Use (Quick Reference)

  • When sampling, gently hold the device in the mouth and let oral fluid naturally absorb on the tip.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke for at least 30 minutes before collection.
  • Any oral fluid specimen is acceptable; morning specimens (before rinsing/eating/drinking) are recommended.

Result Interpretation (At-a-Glance)

  • Negative: Two lines (C & T). Any faint T line = Negative.
  • Positive: Line at C only (no T line for that drug).
  • Invalid: No C line or smeared/unclear lines → repeat with a new device.

Rapid Oral Drug Test Intended Use

7 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test is a rapid oral fluid screening test. It is a lateral-flow, one-step immunoassay for the qualitative detection of specific drugs and their principal metabolites in human oral fluid at the stated cut-off concentrations for use in employment and insurance testing.

This assay provides only a qualitative, preliminary analytical test result. A more specific analytical method must be used to obtain a confirmed result. Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is the preferred confirmatory method. Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any drug-of-abuse test result, particularly when preliminary positive results are indicated.

For employment and insurance testing use.

Why Does My Tracking Info Still Say "Label Created, Not yet in the System" When I Placed It X Days Ago?

If your order was placed via USPS, sometimes your label might not show up in their system even 1-3 days after they have received the package. The same can happen for UPS orders, although they almost always show up in their system the night which they are shipped. If you have any questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us and we will investigate the matter.

If I Pay for a next Day Air Delivery, Am I Guaranteed to Receive It the next Day?

Air deliveries performed by UPS are counted via business days, so you will receive your package the business day after it has been shipped. We also do not ship orders placed after 4 pm EST on the same day, so Next Day orders placed after 4 pm will be shipped the following business day.

Why Can't I Check the Tracking of My Package?

After you place your order, an email will be sent to you with the tracking number within a business day. If you did not receive this email, it's possible that the e-mail was entered incorrectly, sent to your spam folder, or blocked. If you did not receive this email, please call or email us and we'll be happy to give you the status of your shipment.

I Placed My Order but I No Longer Need It. Can I Return It and Get a Refund?

We accept returns for unused items as long as they are placed within 30 days after the day they are purchased. Although shipping is free upon order, we still incur a cost for every order that is shipped, and you will be refunded the amount of your order once we receive the returned goods, minus the cost of shipping.
