How to Use the 13 Panel Drug Testing Cup
1. Before You Begin
-
Bring to Room Temperature: Ensure both the 13 Panel Drug Test Cup and the testing environment are at a stable room temperature (59–78°F or 15–26°C) for accurate results.
-
Open the Test Cup: Carefully remove the sealed pouch containing the cup and get it ready for sample collection.
2. Collect the Urine Sample
-
Sample Collection: Have the individual being tested (the donor) provide a urine sample directly into the test cup.
-
Secure the Lid: After collection, tightly fasten the lid to prevent any spills or contamination.
-
Start the Timer: Begin timing immediately, as the results should be reviewed within a specific window.
3. Verify Sample Temperature
-
Use the Temperature Strip: Within 2–4 minutes of collection, check the built-in temperature strip on the cup. A valid sample will show a green color indicator between 90–100°F (32–38°C), verifying freshness and authenticity.
4. Check the Results
-
Peel Back the Label: Gently peel off the adhesive label to expose the results window.
-
Read Results at 5 Minutes: Evaluate the test strips precisely at the 5-minute mark:
-
Negative Result: Two lines—one in the Control (C) region and one in the Test (T) region—mean the drug was not detected at the cutoff level.
-
Positive Result: A single line in the Control (C) region and no line in the Test (T) region indicates a positive result for that substance.
-
Invalid Result: If no line appears in the Control (C) region, the test is invalid and must be repeated with a new cup.
-
Do Not Read After 8 Minutes: Any changes in the results after 8 minutes may not be accurate and should be disregarded.
