Why Use 9 Panel Mouth Swab Drug Test with This Specific Drug Configuration?

The 9 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test with this configuration is designed to target the most commonly abused and high-risk drug classes relevant to workplace safety, law enforcement, and clinical programs. By including stimulants (Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, MDMA), sedatives (Barbiturates, Methadone, Opiates, Oxycodone), and hallucinogens (PCP), it provides a balanced and comprehensive screening profile.

Focused Coverage – Detects the most frequently misused substances that impair judgment, alertness, and physical coordination.

Workplace Safety – Helps employers identify drugs strongly linked to accidents, poor performance, and liability.

Law Enforcement Relevance – Covers drugs commonly involved in DUI/DWI and criminal cases, such as PCP, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

Clinical and Rehab Use – Useful for monitoring treatment compliance with methadone or opiates, as well as detecting relapse.

Practical Balance – Offers a broader scope than 5–6 panel tests but avoids the higher cost and complexity of larger 12–14 panel configurations.

STEP 1.

Remove the test device from the foil pouch. Hold the grip and remove the cap to expose the absorbent pad.

STEP 2.

Place the absorbent pad into the mouth and swab both cheeks and tongue for a few seconds, then place the absorbent pad in the middle of the mouth to continue collecting saliva. The absorbent pad should be touching tongue or under tongue. Make sure the test device is horizontal to prevent flooding.

STEP 3.

Remove the test device from the mouth once the saliva can be seen travelling on the test strips. Then place the device on a flat surface. Immediately start the timer.

STEP 4.

Read results at 5 minutes. Do not read after 10 minutes.

NOTE:

* When sampling, gently hold it in mouth and let oral fluid naturally adsorb on the absorbent pad. Do not force saliva into the device to prevent flooding.
* Do not eat, drink, or smoke for at least 30 minutes prior to sample collection.
* Any oral fluid specimen is appropriate for testing but the oral fluid specimen collected in the morning, before mouth rinsed, eating or drinking, is recommended.

Principle of Procedure

9 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test is a competitive immunoassay used to screen for the presence of drugs in oral fluid. It is a chromatographic absorbent device in which drugs or drug metabolites in a sample competitively bind to a limited number of antibody-dye conjugate binding sites.

  • When the absorbent tip is placed in the oral fluid sample, the sample is drawn in by capillary action, mixes with the antibody-dye conjugate, and flows across the pre-coated membrane.
  • If sample drug levels are zero or below the target cutoff, antibody-dye conjugate binds to the drug/protein conjugate immobilized in the Test (T) region, producing a colored test lineAny visible T line, regardless of intensity, indicates a negative result.
  • If sample drug levels are at or above the target cutoff, free drug in the sample binds to the antibody-dye conjugate and prevents it from binding at the T region. No T line develops, indicating a potentially positive result.
  • A colored line at the Control (C) region serves as a procedural control and should appear if the test has been performed properly.
  • Rapid saliva collection
  • Consistent rapid wicking
  • Greatly decreases ability to adulterate
  • Excellent for “reasonable suspicion” scenarios
(Plus applicability for forensic, employment & insurance.)

Supplied:

  • Oral Fluid Drug Tests (per kit)
  • 1 × Instructions for Use

Required but not provided:

  • Timer or stopwatch

Directions for Use (Quick Reference)

  • When sampling, gently hold the device in the mouth and let oral fluid naturally absorb on the tip.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke for at least 30 minutes before collection.
  • Any oral fluid specimen is acceptable; morning specimens (before rinsing/eating/drinking) are recommended.

Result Interpretation (At-a-Glance)

  • Negative: Two lines (C & T). Any faint T line = Negative.
  • Positive: Line at C only (no T line for that drug).
  • Invalid: No C line or smeared/unclear lines → repeat with a new device.

Why Does My Tracking Info Still Say "Label Created, Not yet in the System" When I Placed It X Days Ago?

If your order was placed via USPS, sometimes your label might not show up in their system even 1-3 days after they have received the package. The same can happen for UPS orders, although they almost always show up in their system the night which they are shipped. If you have any questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us and we will investigate the matter.

If I Pay for a next Day Air Delivery, Am I Guaranteed to Receive It the next Day?

Air deliveries performed by UPS are counted via business days, so you will receive your package the business day after it has been shipped. We also do not ship orders placed after 4 pm EST on the same day, so Next Day orders placed after 4 pm will be shipped the following business day.

Why Can't I Check the Tracking of My Package?

After you place your order, an email will be sent to you with the tracking number within a business day. If you did not receive this email, it’s possible that the e-mail was entered incorrectly, sent to your spam folder, or blocked. If you did not receive this email, please call or email us and we’ll be happy to give you the status of your shipment.

I Placed My Order but I No Longer Need It. Can I Return It and Get a Refund?

We accept returns for unused items as long as they are placed within 30 days after the day they are purchased. Although shipping is free upon order, we still incur a cost for every order that is shipped, and you will be refunded the amount of your order once we receive the returned goods, minus the cost of shipping.
