3. Dip the strip vertically into the urine specimen for at least 10–15 seconds. Do not immerse above the maximum line (MAX) marked on the strip.
4. Remove the test from the specimen and place it on a clean, flat, non-absorbent surface.
5. Start a timer and wait for the colored bands to appear.
6. Read the results at 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
