Understanding the Importance of Fentanyl Testing
Fentanyl, when used within prescribed parameters and under medical supervision, serves as a potent analgesic for managing chronic pain.
However, its staggering potency, surpassing that of morphine by 50 to 100 times, poses significant risks.
Illicit use of Fentanyl has tragically contributed to a surge in overdose fatalities both domestically and internationally.
The opioid epidemic, encompassing substances like heroin, oxycodone, and others, has wrought devastation upon communities for the past two decades.
This crisis, resulting in over 800,000 lives lost in the U.S. since the 1990s, initially manifested as a surge in prescription opioid overdoses.
Given its potency and widespread misuse, Fentanyl has become a paramount concern in the realm of urine drug testing.
