Before beginning, it is important to check what prescriptions a person has before testing. The individual may have a medical reason for taking some of the drugs in the test. Let’s look at each of these drugs from our multi drug test panel one-by-one.

Amphetamines (AMP)

This mood-altering drug is commonly found in both legal and illegal scenarios. On the legal side of things, it is a common prescription drug for treating ADD, narcolepsy, and ADHD in both children and adults.

Illegally, it has use as a stimulant. The detection time for amphetamines is up to 1-2 days after use.

Barbiturates (BAR)

Barbiturates are a class of drugs, and the difference between them is in how long they last. They can be prescribed for medical situations involving insomnia, seizures, and anxiety. Barbiturates are currently unusual to see on a prescription; most doctors prescribe less addictive benzodiazepines.

Barbiturates are complicated and can have very dangerous withdrawal symptoms, and the potential for deadly overdose is. The detection time for barbiturates is 1-4 days from use.

Benzodiazepines (BZO)

Benzodiazepines are less addictive than barbiturates – but they can still show up in illegal circumstances. They work similarly to barbiturates by depressing the central nervous system.

They are useful for the treatment of sleep disorders, seizures, and anxiety. Benzodiazepines are detectable for up to 1-2 days after use.

Buprenorphine (BUP)

This is a treatment drug that works to lower one’s dependence on substances like heroin and opiates. It does so by reducing the withdrawal symptoms. Its potential for misuse is comparatively lower.

In most situations, users of this drug are being responsible and have a doctor’s prescription. This drug is detectable 2-6 days from use.

Cocaine (COC)

Cocaine is a very addictive stimulant that only has rare legal use. Currently, the only medical use is occasionally for anesthetic during surgeries. It has a long history of abuse. It is detectable for 2-4 days.

Ecstasy (MDMA)

This is a synthetic psychoactive drug that can alter mood, a person’s perception, and potentially cause hallucinations. At the moment, all states in the US criminalize the use, sale, transport, and manufacture of MDMA. Our test can detect it up to 2-4 days after use.

Fentanyl (FYL)

As previously discussed, this kit includes fentanyl test strips because this drug is commonly abused. It is 80-100 times stronger than morphine. It can be prescribed by doctors, but this is typically only in extreme circumstances like cancer.

Our special test has a detection time of 2-3 days. We also have single fentanyl drug test strips.

Marijuana (THC)

Marijuana (also known as cannabis or weed) is a common drug for recreational and medical use. While Marijuana is seeing legalization in many states, it has yet to receive federal approval.

In the medical industry, it is frequently used for pain management for a variety of diseases as well as for epilepsy. It can be detected around 3-30 days after use with our multi drug screen test.

Methadone (MTD)

This is a treatment drug that works to lessen withdrawal symptoms caused by heroin and opiate addictions. Similar to buprenorphine, methadone works to lessen the withdrawal pain and reduce other withdrawal symptoms.

When used responsibly, misuse tends to be low. Our tests can detect this drug 1-3 days after use.

Methamphetamine (mAMP or MET)

Methamphetamines are extremely illegal and highly addictive stimulants. They come with many bad side effects, especially ones that are long-term. It is also known more commonly as meth or crystal.

Being involved in the sale, transport, possession, or use of this drug is highly illegal and comes with long prison terms. Our test can detect methamphetamine use within 2-4 days.

Morphine (OPI)

Morphine is a fairly common medication that is prescribed to treat severe pain. However, as an opioid drug is has a higher possibility for misuse, and it can have dangerous withdrawal effects. Morphine use will show up on our test 2-3 days after use.

Oxycodone (OXY)

Similar to morphine, oxycodone is a highly addictive pain medication. However, it is only recommended in cases where the treatment of symptoms is not possible with another drug.

It is important to check whether the employee has a prescription for oxycodone if they test positive. It is detectable for up to 1-3 days after use.

Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA)

This is a group of a specific type of antidepressants that work in similar ways. They work to treat many different conditions and are not limited to depression. While newer antidepressants are more commonly used, these still have a place in treating different issues. The detection time is 1-7 days.

How to Use a 13 Panel Urine Drug Test Strip

All of our drug cards are simple and quick to use. Just follow these 7 simple steps to get the most accurate results in a short span of time. Let’s take a look at these steps.

Step 1

First, remove the drug test strip from its packaging and the specially sealed foil pouch. Make sure to check if there is any damage from the shipping process before proceeding.

Step 2

Expose the absorbent test strips by removing the cap from the drug test dip card. Be careful to set this cap aside for use later on.

Step 3

Collect the specimen from the donor. Make sure to include identifying information on the sample. This is so you can prevent any mix-ups.

Step 4

Next, immerse the exposed strips into the urine sample for five seconds. Make sure not to let the urine sample touch the plastic component of the dip card. If it touches, it could lead to inconclusive results.

Step 5

Replace the cap over the used strips on the rapid test dip card. Lay it flat on a clean and non-absorbing surface.

Step 6

Now, the results should show themselves after a 5-minute wait. Each drug will have a label and have a C and T lettered section that will begin to show a colored line.

Step 7

Finally, it’s time to read the results. It is important to read the results immediately because, after ten minutes, the results will no longer be accurate. Let’s look at how you can read the results quickly and easily in the next section.

How to Read a 13 Panel Drug Test Strip

Reading our multi drug screen test test card is easy. There are three different results you can receive with a 13 panel drug test.

Positive

A test will result as positive when just one colored back appears next to the letter “C” (for control). If there is no color in the T section (for test), then the result is positive.

Negative

A negative result will display as two colored bands on the membrane. Both C and T will have a colored band display next to them to indicate a negative test.

Invalid

An invalid result will show up as a colored band next to the letter T. This indicates that a conclusion wasn’t reached, and the test needs to be discarded and repeated with a new test. Be careful to read the procedures about how to get results before trying again.
